When I first bought Firebird's Ink Replacement Bags, it was mainly due to the price.
In the past, I would only purchase Ricoh's ink and with every cartridge, I would wrestle with white ink clogging - continuously.
Each day, ink would be wasted due to repeated cleaning cycles to keep the prints from banding. This was a daily chore and many times cleaning would evolve into wet capping the print head or shutting down the system temporarily to run cleaning fluid through the white lines. Such an inconvenience - especially when orders have to pause.
This is what led me to trying out the Firebird Ink Replacement Bags. It started with being cost effective. But after I replaced my ink with Firebird's, there was a night and day difference.
1. Price is lower vs Ricoh
2. For the first time, my W1/W2 did not clog like they used to. The clogs stopped. No more unexpected down time.
3. Due to clogs being fixed. No more daily "Auto Cleans". The only time I have to use the auto clean is after my scheduled manual clean. Even then, I auto clean on "normal" where in the past I would have to use "strong" cleans to get the clogs out.
4. There's also the system cleaning frequency during prints. Due to the head not clogging, I have set my print cleaning maintenance cycle to the lowest schedule - and I still feel it could be lower if the Ricoh system gave the option.
5. No more humidifier. I used to have keep a system going 24/7 and although it helped with slowing down the clogs, now it's no longer needed.
6. I am able to print more. With the white ink not clogging, I have more ink to use for textiles. Less money wasted.
7. With no clogs, I have also cut down on cleaning products - which is another money saver. I don't have to clean the lines out all the time and wet cap a print head. Again, time and money is saved.
Using the Firebird Ink has been the best decision for Ink Replacement. I did not expect it perform so good and make my printing life easier. Since I started with the white ink, I have no changed over to all inks from Firebird.
The only question I have is, will Firebird be offering a 500ml Ink Replacement Bags?
Thank you Firebird Inks.
