A Breakthrough Pretreatment Formulation for White, Light and Medium Colored Garments

FIREBIRD’s FBX Ghost™ Pretreatment is designed for DTG printing onto a wide range of white, light and medium colored garments. It is formulated to be UV resistant, eliminating the risk of unsightly UV sun staining and yellowing. 

  • Eliminate unsightly spray box and sun yellowing? Ghost!
  • CMYK on white cotton and 100% polyester? Ghost!
  • White+CMYK on Sports Grey, Neon Green, Sapphire and other Light/Medium-Colored cotton and blends? Ghost!

FBX Ghost is compatible with most DTG garment printers, including Brother, Epson and Ricoh.

Directions

  1. Spray between 15-40 grams (per 14x16 area), depending on the garment style and color. Check the FBX Ghost T-Shirt Matrix, to see our recommended spray-amount for popular garment styles.
  2. CONVEYOR CURE* until damp or dry to touch, at 300-250F for 40-60 seconds.
  3. Heat-press to fully dry and matte down fibers, at 315-350F for 10-15 seconds, with 40-70PSI pressure.

*If a conveyor oven is not available, air-dry for a minimum of 15 mins. Then heat-press at 300-350F, for 20-40 seconds, with 40-60PSI pressure (or until dry-to-touch). It is important to either conveyor-cure or air-dry to prevent from creating a glossy film visible on the sprayed area on the garment when only heat pressing.

FBX Ghost Pretreatment Is the Best Pretreatment for light colors and really makes the ink pop on the shirts. Great Product - Highly recommend!

Ghost Pretreatment

Worked GREAT on Safety Yellow Tshirts! Firebird allows the color of the inks to really show up and pop! Won't ever go back to sub par pretreatment! My customers love it!

Strong vinegar smell

Only two negative things about this product:
1. Strong vinegar smell (got 2 customers left 3-star reviews due to the smell)
2. Pricy. Was $55/gallon now $59.
Even though it's doing a good job reducing stain box but not worth using due to the two above reasons unless at least one of them is improved. I'm still stuck with about 2.5 gallons with this and not planning to touch it again.

Works well for all light colors. Have had some time to play with it and find what shade ranges work best and the quantites to add. Def a life saver for lighter colored tees that we want to print vibrant colors on.
